Turn your Xbox 360 Controller or just about any other controller Into a Mouse!

June 12, 2009

I found a hack this afternoon on how to turn your Xbox 360 controller into a mouse using a nifty little program called Joystick 2 Mouse. Check it out! Completely free to use. You have to tinker around with the settings in order to get it just the way you like it to suit the needs of your particular controller configuration. To use the mouse with the Xbox 360 controller using this program, just use the right stick. Button configuration as far as keyboard commands, functions, num pad functions, and various other windows commands are up to you. Uncertain if it works on Macs, you can give it a shot though. Configurations vary widely from controller to controller, so experiment with your wired/wireless Xbox 360 controller or whatever other controller you may have.

Also I have for you Spill’s review of Pelham 123. Enjoy.

Site Update

June 9, 2009

Hey everybody, just wanted to let you all know my current plans as far as the site goes.

Currently, I’m working on moving the site to another server, as well as changing the look of the site. As you can see, I have already changed the look temporarily just to change things up, add a hint of color at the moment. Very attractive wordpress.com theme, don’t you think? The theme I have set now is called Vigilant.

So sit tight! More is on the way. I think everybody will be impressed with the new layout I plan to roll-out sometime very soon.

Project Natal – Xbox 360

June 5, 2009

Check out this impressive video demonstrating Microsoft’s new Xbox 360 product called Project Natal. The idea behind this project is to COMPLETELY immerse you in whatever game you’re playing, completely removing the controller from the game, forcing you to act out everything that you can do in the game. I can see this new add-on benefiting a lot of people. You can also talk to your Xbox. Feast your eyes on the video below:

Check out F.lux!

F.lux

Do you spend countless hours in front of a computer?

If  the answer to this question is YES, then check out this nifty program called F.lux. This program makes your monitor adjust accordingly to the time of day at your current locale. This is an ingenious program. I’m definitely going to be using this for awhile, I have already tried it out, and it works pretty well.

Thanks to my good friend Alexandra of Miss-Behaved.net for sharing this program.

I have MORE music for you. Check out Hollywood Undead. Formed in 2005, and originally known as “The Kids”  the band consists of 5 people: Johnny 3 Tears, Charlie Scene, Funny Man, Da Kurlzz and Shady Jeff. You can get more information here. Their music is hard to categorize into one genre, but rather a mix of multiple genres. Their sound is unique. They have posted a video called “The Hollywood Undead Story” Watch part 1 and 2.

Check it out below, as well as an official music video called Young. Other links will be provided at the bottom of the post.

Windows Makeover: Windows 7 Beta Build/RC Side By Side Comparison Pics

May 27, 2009

7000 to 71000 windows build side by side comparison

Yesterday, Ars Technica has published a 9-page blog post on the changes in apperance from both the Windows 7 Beta version and the new release candidate. Be prepared to do a lot of reading, or, if you were like me, just skimmed through the 9 page post just looking for changes in the UI design. The explanations listed under each side by side comparison pic do get sort of lengthy on some of the images shown. There have been some really great changes made to the release candidate. A lot of known issues and bugs have been repaired, the speed of the OS has been increased, and its biggest features have been completed.

In this blog post you will see pictures of dialog boxes mainly. Some of their texts have been re-worded, and changed in some way, shape or form. Some of the changes you may or may not like, but since I won’t go pointing things out, you will have to judge this for yourself. There is an index in the post on the main page, so you can easily  jump to any of the changes that have been made to each program that originally comes with Windows 7. Without further ado, you can check that post out right here.

I’m not done with today’s post yet! so please, I beg of you.. Read more…
