Windows Makeover: Windows 7 Beta Build/RC Side By Side Comparison Pics

May 27, 2009

7000 to 71000 windows build side by side comparison

Yesterday, Ars Technica has published a 9-page blog post on the changes in apperance from both the Windows 7 Beta version and the new release candidate. Be prepared to do a lot of reading, or, if you were like me, just skimmed through the 9 page post just looking for changes in the UI design. The explanations listed under each side by side comparison pic do get sort of lengthy on some of the images shown. There have been some really great changes made to the release candidate. A lot of known issues and bugs have been repaired, the speed of the OS has been increased, and its biggest features have been completed.

In this blog post you will see pictures of dialog boxes mainly. Some of their texts have been re-worded, and changed in some way, shape or form. Some of the changes you may or may not like, but since I won’t go pointing things out, you will have to judge this for yourself. There is an index in the post on the main page, so you can easily  jump to any of the changes that have been made to each program that originally comes with Windows 7. Without further ado, you can check that post out right here.

I’m not done with today’s post yet! so please, I beg of you..

I just had to share these great YouTube videos of “multi-track” voice singing recordings with everyone. These video’s can be found plastered all over YouTube, and frankly, I had no idea these masterpieces even existed, and if you’re just checking my site out for the first time today, and you have heard of this phenomenon, sorry for being late to the party. One of my NK budddies, ViggoTheCarpathian of Gaming Update News had shared a video early in the morning over a Skype chat I have been participating in that has been going on all day and all night of this 1 man recording his voice in 4 separate parts, in split screen, in 4 different pitches of a video shot of himself singing a short song entitled, “When I Leave The World Behind” which will be the first video below this explanation. When you first watch a video of this type, it really takes your breath away. Check it out now!

If that wasn’t enough for you, its going to get a little more complex in the next video. This video features 8 tracks. Again, beautifully sung. He sings “Scarborough Fair”. Lots of overtones in this video, but he executes them well.

That was a jaw dropper huh? This next and last video is a multi-track video of a Star Wars tribute song to John Williams. I won’t go into detail about this video, since I would be spoiling it by doing so. Just watch below.

Check out the video response to that video as well. Funny stuff!

Thanks for taking time out of your busy (or not) day to check this out, and as always, thank you for checking out my blog, and coming back to read about what’s new.
